I heard something very 'enlightening' yesterday -- regarding choices such as this that can change your life: Look for affirmation from others that indicate you have a given skill. Parents are wonderful things, but they would not be the best people to look to for this affirmation, as they will usually support everything or nothing that you do. Look for affirmation of your skills from strangers and co workers. Good luck!

Why not save the smartass questions for your friends ? { Now THERES a question for you... no need to answer.. I've already wasted as much time as I intend to on an assanine question.}

I'll tell you what I tell myself -- you may fall in love with one passion or profession, and you may be in love with it for a long time -- however, sometimes your passion shifts whether inside or outside of your control. This is normal. I trust that you'll find something (friend, family, hobby, etc...) to hold onto while you make any transitions in occupation that you deem appropriate for this chapter in your life.
