When I backed up my Mozilla Thunderbird mail I ended up backing up only the Mail folder within my profile folder. Is it possible to restore my mail without the full profile folder? How?

Anirudh S.M / Bengaluru, INThanks for the link.. :)
Tried, didn't work. Seems to work only if I have the full profile directory. Does not work if I have only the Mail subdirectory of profile directory :(Friend 1M / Berkeley, CAsorry to hear that - can you move the mail subdirectory manually into the recovery profile directory then try?
Anirudh S.M / Bengaluru, INtried that. Did not work. The folders in the mail directory did not show up in Thunderbird.Friend 1M / Berkeley, CASorry, out of ideas for now. you might try tools > Import and point thunderbird to that mail folder.
Anirudh S.M / Bengaluru, INThanks for taking time out. Tools import didn't work. Tried Mozbackup. Didn't work either. Guess I have to get the mail I want from somewhere else. -

Friend 225 / M / Paris, FRThe best way to backup your e-mails is to export them into a file (in mbox format).
Take a look at: http://www.mozilla.org/support/thunderbird/faq#export
Anirudh S.M / Bengaluru, INThanks for the link. Unfortunately I can't take the backup now. But the link mentioned that it was the standard mbox format. Let me see if something will read the mbox formatFriend 225 / M / Paris, FRMostly all e-mail clients support the mbox format. So it's pretty easy to import your backup.
Anirudh S.M / Bengaluru, INThanks. I'll take a look :)
