OK, so here is my followup question to home networking. I've noticed that my house is actually wired for what looks like CAT5 (see jack: http://tinypic.com/r/107t1k7/4) . There's jacks like in every room and my suspicion is that they connect downstairs and terminate in the following cable ( http://tinypic.com/r/2ed5c93/4) , which is currently cut off and not connecting to anything: http://tinypic.com/r/2a7sw91/4 .

What do I do? How do I get this hooked up to the Internet or is it even possible to do so?

Thanks!!

If it is CAT5 and it looks like it is, it's definitely possible, I've done it myself, when I lived in a house with a central box everything was wired into, the phone jacks were all RJ45 instead of RJ11, so I just wired the cable modem to the box and rewired some of the phone jacks.
