I am making a MySQL database that I want to use for a website what OS would you use if you wanted something really secure?

    I used to run a hosting company off FreeBSD (Unix). Debian is also great if you prefer Linux. Both are free, have specific builds of MySQL for the OS, support loads of hardware and are easy to use. FreeBSD is very secure. Like any OS, make sure your patches are up to date and you should be right.
