Sponsored Answers
Aardvark is piloting a program to deliver Sponsored Answers to our users. We are now seeking innovative businesses, large and small, to become pilot sponsors on Aardvark.
Background: Aardvark is a social search service that allows users to tap into the knowledge of people in their extended network. Many of the questions asked on Aardvark have commercial intent, such as asking recommendations for local services and advice on travel destinations. In fact, many users on Aardvark have already received valuable business leads through the service. Sponsored Answers is a feature that allows Aardvark to better serve sponsors by providing a more consistent flow of qualified questions and better serve users by clearly differentiating sponsored answers from regular answers.
How it works: Sponsored Partners bid on keywords relating to their business. Aardvark then routes questions related to these keywords to one or more operators at their business. An operator can answer the question just like a regular Aardvark conversation, or pass if the question is not suitable. This program allows us to put our Sponsored Partners in direct conversations with Aardvark users who have expressed an interest in their product or service.
